A separate boost feature blocks out background noise and feedback for maximum amplification. To achieve the full 40 dB of amplification, the user must hold down the “BOOST” button while listening and then release the button when talking. Without the “BOOST” feature activated, the unit operates as a powerful 30 dB amplifier with the additional 10 dB of assistance available only when needed. One-year manufacturer warranty.
